2018 Membership dues are now due and Payable.   The board of Directors decided to lower the dues to $20.00 and encourage more people to join.   Don't forget that the Pot Luck Barbecue in June is free to members. We supply the main course and you folks fill in with potluck items.   It pays to join.   More details on our Annual Barbecue will  be posted in Special Events as we get closer to June.   This event is renamed STAN NICHOLS MEMORIAL DAY in memory of Stan's contribution to aviation.

If you would like to send in your check,  please make it out to C.O.PA. FLIGHT 23 and mail it to the attention of Ivan Filion,           54A Filion Road, P.O. Box 121,  Field, Ontario, POH 1M0. Ivan is our Club Treasurer.

Or if a little more convenient you can drop off your cash or mail your cheque to Kori Ibey  at Maximum North, 1650 Airport Road, North Bay, Ontario, POH 1P0, made out to C.O.P.A. FLIGHT 23

Copy of e-mail from Bert Roy, Sturgeon Falls, Ontario

Hello Tom,                                                                                                                                                                                         How are you, I trust you had a great winter in the sunshine state, Busy on PC12 Medevacs again this winter. Now back in training SIMULATOR  and GROUND SCHOOL with MNR Water Bombers.

Just wondering who I make check payable to for 2016 COPA Flight 23 membership dues and who to send it to. Won’t be long we will be putting those floatplanes in.

Thank you Tom,  Bert

I had to Share this e-mail with our members because that is the kind of fellow Bert Roy is and always was.  As busy as he is with his job, he is still thinking of other people.  Here is Bert wanting to send in his membership dues before we have even started our 2016 campaign for new members and renewals.

Bert completed his flight instructor rating at Algonquin Flight Centre and worked part time for me for several years.  His work ethic and professionalism was second to none.   If Bert was scheduled to work, he was the first one in and the last one to leave.  He was always prepared and his students received first class training.

Bert is in a partnership on a Cessna 180 on Floats with Denis Louiseize of Sturgeon Falls.  Denis is down here in Florida right now while Bert is freezing his buns off getting ready for the summer season.

Bert has taken the lead and is first off the mark with his membership dues.  If any other member wants to make sure our club is financially viable and want to send in their 2016 dues, all the required information is listed above.

Thanks Bert, we appreciate the help.

Tom Fraser, Webmaster, COPA Flight 23, North Bay, Ontario.
