Professional geotechnical and environmental engineer

Owns a Cessna 172 floatplane and Lives on Muskosung Lake in Field.   Avid all seasons outdoorsman.

Claim to fame:  abandoned the Toronto Maple Leafs when I left Toronto in the seventies.

Lesser claim to fame:  spearheaded the restoration of elk in Ontario since 1993. Hopefully Flight 23 members like elk otherwise I have nothing else to brag about. Lol.

Around Kori's hangar met some really nice people and off the record .... Kori too. So I decided that the best way to 'hang out' with more of these interesting people is to jump right in and become a Director.

Flanked by a fabulous wife (Christine) and two daughters (Marie-Josée and Hélène)

I have been retired for the past 8 years. I have a variety of interests which includes mechanics, construction, photography and cooking. I am currently the President of the South River/Sundridge Flying Club.  I have had a love of aviation since a child. I have been licensed since the "70s, as PPL with night endorsement. GPL (both non current) because I now fill all my flying needs with an Ultralight Pilot Permit. I love the new regulations for ultralight.  Ultralight Pilot licensing has very minimal government involvement and medicals are self declared. If you stay in the "Basic" category the licensing and maintenance of your aircraft is similar.  It is a perfect category as you get older. I built a Kolb Firestar in my basement and have been flying it for 2 years. It provides an excellent platform for aerial photography and is perfect for punching holes in small clouds. Check it out in the Homebuilders section.
